Earth tone colors are those colors that are found in nature. They give a room of warmth, earthy feel and they're great because they can match pretty much any kind of furniture and especially hardwood floors. Now, when you get to your painting, you want to test the paint colors first. Don't just go to the paint store, buy a gallon of paint, put on the wall and hope it looks great. Choose two or three colors that you really like and then actually paint them on the wall. But, you want to do large swatches, at least two feet by two feet swatches and then leave them there for a few days so that you can see the colors during the day with the lights on, during the day without the lights on and at night. And the great thing about paint colors when you're testing is that you don't have to buy an entire gallon or even a quart because most paint manufacturer actually makes samples.
