Hi I'm Chase Thompson-Baugh with Simply Mac, your local source for everything Apple. We're a Utah based Apple specialist with eight stores in Utah, Idaho and Wyoming and today we're going to show you some more quick tips on the iPad that I know you're just going to love. And now I'm going to show you how you can remove home screen shortcuts on your iPad. So the iPad has this really cool thing called home screen shortcuts. Now basically what these are is if I go here to Safari and say I want to go to YouTube and I access YouTube pretty frequently. So what I can do, is I can tap on this little arrow and I can add this to my home screen. Now these are really nice and I can give it a name and just tap add and it will go ahead and it will slide all my apps over and just add it to my home screen. Then I can go ahead and push and hold and move it around and then hit my home button to stop. Now if I ever decide I want to get rid of some of these, you know maybe YouTube I don't need anymore because I'm just going to come here and access the YouTube app which is just fine. I'm going to go ahead and just tap and hold on this and this happens with home screen shortcuts as well as applications you install. You can go ahead and tap on the little X right there and it will say do you want to delete this and yes I do so I'm just going to tap delete. Now to get them to stop doing that, all I have to do is just tap on my home button and then the bookmark or the home screen shortcut is gone and I can continue using the ones that I already have. Again I'm Chase Thompson-Baugh with Simply Mac and I've just shown you how you can remove home screen shortcuts on your iPad.
