Hi, I'm Charlie Kasov. I'm a math teacher and today we're going to learn how to convert pounds per acre to kilograms per hectare. Now, the basic conversion is one pound per acre equals 1.121 kilograms per hectare. Now, a hectare is about 10,000 square meters, and an acre is about 4840 square yards. So, this is the basic conversion. Now, if we wanted to actually do it out, we can say--let's say we're dealing with 10 pounds per acre. Well, that should be--times 10 times 10--that should be about 11.21 kilograms per hectare. So, the way we would figure it out is we convert acres to hectares, and then pounds to kilograms. So, one acre equals .404 hectares, and that means we're saying 10 pounds per .404 hectares. Then we say one pound equals .453 kilograms. So, that means that 10 pounds would be 4.53 kilograms. So, now we have a fully metric conversion. We have 4.53 kilograms per .404 hectares. So, we want this to be 11.21. Well, when you divide 4.53 by point four 0 four, you get 11.21. So, this is how you would convert it. You change your acres into hectares. You change your pounds into kilograms, or you can remember this basic conversion. For every pound per acre, there's 1.21 kilograms per hectare. I'm Charlie Kasov, and you just learned how to convert pounds per acre into kilograms per hectare. Thanks a lot.
