Hello, I'm Robert Todd, and I'm here to talk about, what can I do if I lost the deed to a burial plot? Well, the first thing is relax. Deeds to burial plots are not the same thing, generally speaking, as deeds to real property. Generally speaking, the deed to the burial plot is the right, or license, to inter a body in that grave site. So, if you've lost it, contact the cemetery or the institution that handles the administration of who gets interred in the various grave sites and ask them for a duplicate copy. Generally speaking, the cemetery, or the association, handling the grave sites keeps the original deeds to the grave sites, anyway. So, all you ever had was a duplicate, which they can readily duplicate for you and provide. And as long as no one else is already interred in that grave site, you can change who's going to be interred in that grave site as often as you wish. I'm Robert Todd, and thank you for watching.
