Hi, my name is Amy Clause. I'm an optician here at Blue Ridge Optical in Roanoke, Virginia and I'm here to talk to you about nose bridge measurements for eyeglasses. Okay, the first thing I want to show you is where you can find the nose bridge measurement on your eyeglasses. In most cases they're going to be right on the inside of your bridge. There's usually going to be two numbers there. The first larger number is going to be your eye size. The second number is your actual bridge measurement. You can also sometimes find this on the inside of the temple or on plastic frames, sometimes you can find them on the inside of the bridge on the nose pad there. There are two main types of bridge pieces on eyeglasses. The first is a nonadjustable unifit bridge like you see on this frame here. That's also very common to find on a plastic frame. These frames need to pretty much fit you perfect because there's not any adjustments we can do on the nose pads to make them fit your bridge better. The second type is the type with adjustable nose pads. Pretty much anybody can wear these because we can adjust them to fit your bridge. It's always a good idea to work with your optician to see what's better for you and also to think about what's more comfortable for you. I'm Amy and that's a little bit about nose bridge measurements for eyeglasses.
