Hi, I'm Terri Ewing, your lifestyle etiquette expert here to talk about what kind of attire to wear to a neighborhood party, whether it be a holiday party or just a simple neighborhood gathering. I have Molly Hurley here who is an authority on womens' apparel. She runs a store in Atlanta called Molly Hurley and Associates. Hi Terri, Hi Molly what's on trend? Well first of all, I would always gage the attire for the party based on whether it's on the invitation or even call your hostess and see what she's going to be wearing to kind of gage what you want to wear, but we love a dress. You could always do a beautiful long maxi dress like we have on Melanis in the animal print, which is a huge trend this year. Or you could even go a little more casual with take the animal print into a tunic, but with a dressier shoe, and I love the little tunic shift that you have on. You can take it in a velvet, there's so much out there in the shorter dresses, so kind of long or the shorter. We're also seeing a lot in jewel tones and then everything all the way to vintage lace looks. So we put on the girls we did the little kind of bustier top back to the high low skirt which is wonderful this year all the high low trend. So we did the little top that we did in hot pink. Regina has got this gorgeous plum colored suede pump on so you can take that bright bright color and do it in your accessory. See colors are really in, yes colors are so strong this year. You'll see on the girls we don't have a lot of black on them. We did a lot more of the pop colors, the jewel tones and Winter white and camel, Winter white and camel back to all the beautiful metallics are really strong this year. Yeah, absolutely, for example back here, Vernelle has on a gorgeous camel outfit, did a great little cotton dress that we did in all lace and it's just a cotton lace with the exposed zipper back detail to it on that one and then you can even take that lace and do it in a little tailored jacket like we have on Haley. So there's a lot of ways to take that very vintage feminine inspired look. One of my favorite things though is to just pop it with a jewel tone. Pretty color. Isn't that beautiful? And then the Winter white blouse that we have on Heather with a little bit of interest around the neck is perfect for a neighborhood party. We love all of that. So Molly what about accessories? How can you use that to really make your outfit pop? Absolutely, well and right now we're seeing a lot of people are kind of pairing back on what they're spending to go to a party so you can take something that you have in your wardrobe and pop it with a great accessory. So we've got the beautiful necklace that we did right here. We love to just throw on a wonderful jewelry piece whether it's in the earrings that the girls are wearing or an accent necklace, a hat is a big trend right now. So we did the animal print that we were discussing in the Fedora on Regina, your bright color in your shoe like we were saying and then you can even take a little bit of the metallic trend in your handbag. We love the clutch that we did, we have here. Heather has the over sized clutch in the metallic. We did the metallic in the belt on Maggie's lace dress and then we also have a little bit of glitz in the shoulder bag over here. So whether it's with jewelry, your shoes, a hat, even a great scarf if you have it, anything works for an accessory. Thank you Molly, that's really great information and I'm sure that we can use this to be the best we can be at any neighborhood party whether it's a holiday setting or a birthday small gathering.
