Hi, my name's Jessica Delfino, I play the ukulele, and I also teach other people how to play the ukulele. So, today, we're going to talk about how to play a song on the ukulele using easy chords. So, some of the easier chords you may have heard of, or not, are chords such as the C chord. Which is just your ring finger usually, I usually play with my ring finger on the third fret, that's your C. Another really easy chord, is your A minor, that's a very easy chord, that's your middle finger on your second fret. And then, another really easy chord, is your F chord. That's where you just drop your pointer finger onto your first fret, on the E string. So, if you're already in A minor, you find an F really easily. By just dropping your pointer onto the first fret, onto the third string, or the E string. And then, a G chord is another very easy chord that people like to play a lot. Your G chord is basically an upside-down triangle, starting on your second fret, on the C string, skip a string. And then, hit the A string with your middle finger, go to the next fret, to your E string. And place your ring finger, and that's your G chord. Another chord that's really easy to play, that I like a lot, is the D minor. The D minor is your middle and your ring finger on the second fret. And your pointer on the E string, on the first fret, that's your D minor. With those few chords, you can play a whole bunch of songs. You can play, "Coming Around the Mountain," would go from C to G. So, for example, She'll be coming around the mountain when she comes. It doesn't get much easier than that, right, just a bunch of C's. When she comes, she'll be coming around the mountain, she'll be, here we go to our F chord, coming around the mountains, she'll be coming around the mountains, when she comes. Now, say, traditional songs aren't really your things, you want to play something else, you can play anything. You can play so many songs with these chords. You can play Nirvana, "Come As You Are." Your D minor and your C, come as you are, as you were. There you go, just like that, just two chords back and forth. The song, Venus, you know, I am the Venus, that's D minor to G. So, you can do Goddess on the mountain top, rolling like a silver flame. There are virtually hundreds, maybe even thousands of songs you can play, just by learning two to three chords. So, have a lot of fun with it. That's how you play a ukulele song using easy chords.
