Hi there. My name's Jessica Delfino and I play the ukulele and I also teach people how to play the ukulele. And today I'm going to teach you how to play the tenor ukulele. So, playing the tenor ukulele is very much like playing any other ukulele. It's got four strings and they are tuned to G, C, E, A, just like your soprano or some other type of ukulele. You can tune them differently of course. That's up to you. But the standard tuning would be G, C, E, A. And you might play it exactly like you would play your soprano or your concert or your baritone ukulele. The baritone is tuned differently, but you would play it just like you would play any other. So, you would fret your chords in the same way, your C, for example, on your fourth string, that's your A string on the third fret. Or your F on the G and the E string, just like you would a soprano. So, for example if you were to play a song, you would play it just like you would with any other. I'd like, I'd like to be under the sea, in an octopus's garden in the shade. And it's just like that, just like you would any other ukulele. You would strum it and play it and fret it in exactly the same way. And that's how you play a tenor ukulele.
