Hi, I'm Charlie Kasov. I'm a math teacher and today we're going to learn how to calculate solid ounces to fluid ounces. Now, a solid ounce is also known as a dry ounce, and this is its abbreviation. The fluid ounce is abbreviated, as such. Now, do not get dry ounces and fluid ounces confused. Dry ounces measure weight, and fluid ounces measure volume, say of a liquid. So, one dry ounce is not equal to one fluid ounce. It also depends on what you're measuring. So, you have to make sure you're checking based on what substance you're using. For example, with water, one dry ounce of water equals point nine five eight seven fluid ounces of water. And one fluid ounce equals one point 0 four three dry ounces of water. So, with water, they're very close together. But something that has a much greater density may have a much smaller volume, and a much higher weight. So, I'm Charlie Kasov, and you just learned how to calculate solid ounces, or dry ounces to fluid ounces. Thanks a lot.
