Hi I'm Georgina Petheo with Columbineentertainment.com. I'm going to talk about a few things that you will need to become a professional player. To become a professional player, the most important thing is your dedication to practice every day and get violin lessons. On these lessons, you will learn a lot of different ideas and techniques. For example, clean intonation, sound production, proper rhythm, musical phrasings. I'd like to show you just a few little things on the violin like left hand technique and right hand technique that you will master during these lessons. Vibrato, left hand, nice sound for your continuous bowing, that was vibrato. How about shifting? I was changing my position from one to another, or if I'm talking about my right hand technique I can show you some bowing techniques, how about Martele, played on the upper half of the bow, staccato, short notes, mainly used in Baroque music, or spiccato that's supposed to be off the string, very light and mainly used when we play Mozart or Heiden, it's called Viennese Classical Music.
