Hi I'm Georgina Petheo with columbineentertainment.com. I'm going to show you how to finger an F sharp on the violin. There are four F sharps on the violin. I'm going to show you the two easy ones. They're both located in first position. One is on the D string. Here you use your high second finger to play an F sharp. The other one is on the E string. You use your first finger on the E string. The other two F sharps are way high on the violin and it requires you to have the knowledge of how to shift. I'm not going to work on those notes right now. I'd like to show you though the other two F sharps located on different strings. This F sharp I showed you here, on the D string, can also be found a little higher on the G string. You could hear the same pitch. Now this F sharp that I just played, was on the E string, can also be found higher up on the A string. I'm Georgina Petheo with columbineentertainment.com and I showed you how to finger an F sharp on the violin. Thanks for watching.
