Hi, my name is Joey Papa. I'm a Coffee Consultant and today, we're going to learn how to make a Pumpkin Spice Iced Frappuccino recipe. Frappuccinos can cost anywhere from four to five dollars at your local coffee shop. But, you can make them for a fraction of the price in the comfort of your own home. All you're going to need is a blender, some milk, pumpkin spice flavoring, instant coffee, a cup of ice, whipped cream and maple syrup. Now, really all a frappuccino is, it has its roots in Starbucks, is actually the company that came up with the name for frappuccino. And it all means is a frozen cappuccino, they blended those words together to make frappuccino. And really all it is is coffee, sweet, sweeten with milk that's blended up in a blender and topped off with whipped cream. Now, you can make it at home using the basics that we have here with a simple recipe. You can also use or choose to not use instant coffee, but you could also use a shot of espresso if you have an espresso machine at home. But because we're not using one today, we're going to be using instant coffee which is time saver and will make it more quick for you to make this. So, what we're going to be doing is using two of these instant coffee sticks or you could also use two tablespoons of instant coffee if you're using instant coffee from a jar. And what we're going to do is, you don't even have to mix that up into water, you can add it straight into the recipe. So first, what we're going to do is we're going to take one cup of milk; we're going to measure that up. We're going to pour the one cup of milk into the blender. Next, we're going to take a half of cup of maple syrup; measure that up and pour that into the blender. After that, we're going to take a half of cup of pumpkin spice flavoring which you can find down at any coffee aisle in your local grocery store and you're going to add that to the blender. Lastly, we're going to take the instant coffee and you're going to open both of those packets and pour them on top of the mixture that's in the blender. And the reason we're doing this is to make sure that it blends well. If you're going to put the instant coffee in first, it can clump up in the bottom because all the liquid you're putting in is not extremely hot, it's actually cold. So, that may not mix in well if you put that in first. Once you have that in, you're going to take your full cup of ice, you're going to add that to the blender. You're going to turn your blender on high, making sure that the ice chunks get blended up, get blended up really well. And you're going to want to let your blender run for about two to three minutes. You can stop it periodically and peek in there to see how consistent your beverage is. If you feel like it's a little too clumpy and you don't really like it that thick, you could add a little more milk; or if you wanted it to be thicker, you could add some more ice cubes. Go ahead and blend that up. Once you have the consistency that you're looking for, you can pour that into your serving glass, top it off with some whip cream. And what I like to do for my Pumpkin Spice Iced Frappuccino is to top it off with some ground cinnamon on top and just to make it look nice.
