Hi, my name's David Alemian, host of the It's About Money radio show. I'm also a life insurance agent, a life insurance recruiter and trainer. Today the question is what is a life insurance agent? Well, a life insurance agent, somebody who helps people. He's licensed by the state to sell life insurance and he gets this license, or she gets this license, after having taken a co-, test, a course and passing a test and then paying a small fee. They have a knowledge base about life insurance companies, life insurance products and the uses. Now, life insurance is probably one of the most powerful financial tools ever devised. Once you really understand it, you understand the power of this financial tool and what a life insurance agent does, is helps people solve certain problems using this amazing tool called life insurance. Now a life insurance agent is also someone who one, enjoys helping people and two, puts the client's needs and best interests first. That is first and foremost. A life insurance agent is also the eyes and ears of the life insurance company. He or she, has a fiduciary responsibility to do the right thing for the prospective client or prospective insured and to do the right thing for the insurance company.
