Hi. I'm Jimmy Chang. I'm here to talk about how to multiply centimeters. Now, centimeters as you know is a unit of length and more often than not, because you are talking about measurement when it comes to centimeters, more often or not are going to be positive. But when it comes to multiplying centimeters, you have to multiply not just the numbers but the units themselves. So, here's an example. If you have for example, three centimeters times seven centimeters, you're multiplying the numbers and the centimeters themselves. So, you gotta do three times seven which is twenty one and centimeters times centimeters which is centimeters squared. Now, when you have linear units times linear units you have square units and with square units like with square centimeters, square feet, you have to have area as applications. So, you gotta keep in mind you gotta multiply the numbers and the units themselves. Now, suppose you have four centimeters times four centimeters squared. Same kind of idea. You multiply the numbers and the units. So, four times ten which is forty and centimeters times centimeters squared is centimeter cubed. Now, you use cubic units when it comes to volume or three dimensional measurements. So, the important to remember is multiply the numbers and the units and you'll be fine especially when it comes to multiplying centimeters. So, I'm Jimmy Chang and that's an introduction on how to multiply centimeters.
