Hi, my name is Leslie Reichert, and I'm the cleaning coach. You can visit my website, GreenCleaningCoach.com for more tips or tricks, just like what we're going to do today. I'm going to show you how to clean out the inside of your coffee pot with two simple ingredients. It's amazing how easy this is. What you're going to do, is you're going to put a little bit, maybe two tablespoons of baking soda into the coffee pot. I'm going to use big, heaping tablespoons, because my coffee pot is dirty. And I'm then going to put some white vinegar in here. Now, watch what happens when we do this. What's happening is, it's mixing with the baking soda, so you've got the acid of the vinegar working with the baking soda, together. It's going to work to take all the minerals out of your coffee pot. I'm going to take a sponge, or a nice rag. And notice how it's just going to take everything off, of the front and the sides of it. And we're not using anything toxic to clean it out with, so it's very simple and gentle. Yet it's going to take all of the built up coffee and the mineral deposits out of there. Then, what you do is, just rinse that out, put it in the dish washer even. And that'll take care of everything, it'll be nice and clean for the next time you have your pot of coffee. So, remember, a couple tablespoons of baking soda, some white vinegar to make it foam up. Swish it around a little bit and then, clean it out. Simple tips with simple things, you don't want to use anything toxic.
