Hello, this is David Paris, CEO of Colure Hair Care. Today we're here in Beverly Hills at Cush Hair Salon and today I want to share with you how to pick the right shade of hair color for your skin tone. So I have my model here today, Renee. As you can see she's very pretty and the first thing I look at is I like to look at their complexion and you can see she's more of a lighter complexion. When I look closer, one way I do is I look at their arms and I see she has kind of a rosier tone which is really warm to me, it's like a warm tone. So that's the first thing I look at. The other think I look at is I notice she has some regrowth and I like to look at their natural tone and right here it looks like she has darker roots and she's a dark blond but that's usually typically a level 6 and if you're at a beauty supply you're going to probably want to take a look at one of their charts and just simply look for a level 6 or just kind of hold the swatch up to the head and try to determine the level of each one. And then the second thing you want to do is look at the target shade. Renee, basically when I see her hair and we consulted with her before she said she wants to stay with her golden blond and then again gold, yellow, so I took one of the charts from the salon here and I'm just going to match it to what I think would match her and she looks pretty close to like an 8, a level 8 gold. So that would be 8G and based on her skin tone being more of a warmer tone that would work perfect for her so basically I would formulate maybe an 8 3 with 20 volume because I need to get at least two levels of lift. She's a level 6, two levels of lift will give me up to an 8 and we'll start at the roots. So basically those are the fundamentals, an easy way how to pick the right color for your skin tone. Again this is David Paris, Colure Hair Care. We're here in Beverly Hills at Cush Salon and thank you for taking a listen. We'll see you soon.
