Hello, my name is John from johnstrumpetstudio.com. Today, I'm going to give you some tips on how to play the B note on the trumpet. Low B is a note that's generally added after the beginning trumpet student masters the first five to six notes C, D, E, F, G and maybe A. Low B is a note that's just an easy progression into the lower register. And what you do is you use the same armature that you do for C which is the lowest note we've learned so far. And if you relax things, relax your air a little bit, relax your armature a little bit add the second valve. We need to press the second valve. It adds approximately three inches of length to the instrument. When you add tubing it allows the pitch to go lower. And you will see that if you play C which is the lowest note we've learned to this point. And you use the same armature when you depress that valve by adding the tubing length it allows you to go right down to B. I'm John from johnstrumpetstudio.com. That's how you play a B note on the trumpet. Thanks for watching.
