How to Wear a Silk Scarf With Women's Clothing

Hi, I'm Tina Gill with Worthwhile Style. And today, I'm going to show you how to wear a silk scarf with women's clothing. There's tons of great beautiful scarves out there. You can find them at thrift stores. You can find them at the mall. I bet your grandmother has some great old vintage pieces. So I love using a square scarf such as this to add just a little bit of color up by your face. So first what you are going to do is take a square scarf and you are going to fold it in half so it makes a great triangle. And super simply you take the longest two ends and you are just going to pull it right over the neck and tie it here in the back. And what this does it just creates this nice cowl neck here at the top. Really opens up the face and it adds a nice bunch of color. Love that. Another great option for a square scarf such as this is to take it just like you did and fold it into a triangle. And then you are going to roll the point in. So you just keep rolling and rolling, and rolling. And then once it's all rolled up start twisting. So what this does it takes a square scarf and makes it super long like this so you can wrap it twice around your neck. So what you do then is you just start at one side and go all the way around to the other and you are going to tie a little knot here right on the corner. This is a great vintage look and adds just this nice little touch up here at the top. And this is probably better suited for somebody that has a longer neck. If you have a shorter neck like me I would recommend going with the cowl scarf versus a short one that's tied up against your neck.
