Hi, I'm Jimmy Chang and we're here to talk about how large is a centimeter. And to be frank with you, not very large, because of the definition of a centimeter. So, when we talk about, what the definition of it is, you'll see the lack of size that a centimeter has. So, let's talk about, what it means to be a centimeter. Now, the prefix centi, means one over a hundred of something, So, that means that a, one centimeter is actually equal to one, one hundredth of a meter itself. So that should give you an indicator as to how small a centimeter actually is. But to kind of put things into a different perspective. 1 centimeter is approximately 0. (point) 394 inches. In other words, a centimeter is not even half an inch, not even 0. (point) 4 inches, so it's very, very tiny and, measurable, but still very, very small. So, I hope that gives you a little bit of perspective as to the smallness of what a centimeter is. So, I'm Jimmy Chang and I hope that answers the question as to how large is a centimeter.
