Hi, I'm Tony Steuer, The Life Insurance Sage, and this is my tip on how to choose a disability insurance policy. There is a saying that the devil is in the details. There is nowhere that this is more true in choosing a disability insurance policy. When you take a look at different policies with different companies you'll see a whole variety of differences in premiums and in the benefits offered. The terms of the different benefits offered such as how an occupation is defined will greatly impact the payment of a benefit. It's important to read through the full proposal and to make sure that you fully understand the terms of each benefit and component of your disability insurance contract. You'll find that some of the differences can be quite staggering from company to company and will make a difference in whether or not a benefit is paid at the time you are disabled. The benefits that can make a difference are whether or not you have an inflation rider, whether or not your policy covers you for partial disability or a residual disability and what other benefits the policy may possibly pay. I'm Tony Steuer and that's my tip on choosing a disability insurance policy. Thank you for watching.
