Hi, I'm Tina Gill with Worthwhile Style and today I'm going to teach you how to find the right suit size if you are a plus size woman. First and foremost, you're going to want to start with the fit of the jacket. You're going to be buttoning and unbuttoning your suit coat so you want to make sure that this fits very well. So take your dress shirt size and go up a size. If you normally wear a 14 in a dress shirt, go up to a 16 and the reason being is that you're going to be buttoning, unbuttoning and you're going to add lots of different shirts underneath. So since you're layering something, my recommendation is to go up one size in your suit coat. Find the jacket that fits you the best in the shoulder and then have it tailored down to fit the rest of your body. For the trousers, you're going to want to look for a pair of suit pants that has a lining and the reason for that is this is going to act as a barrier between your skin and the outer layer of fabric. A three season wool will be perfect for this. It's going to add an extra layer so it's going to lay a lot nicer and it's going to wear a lot better. For suit pant size, what you want to do, is go with what you normally wear in a pair of regular trousers. All sizes vary you know, between different designers so try them on. My recommendation is to go with suit separates. Any line that carries different pieces is going to be a better fit because most women aren't the same size up top as they are on the bottom. So if you find a suit coat that's in a 16 and a pair of pants in a 14, you're even better off. You're tailor is your best friend when it comes to this because you want your suit to fit you like a glove, seaming down the front is going to elongate your figure and kind of hold everything in. So it's perfect for the plus size woman. So as you can see, finding your suit size is super simple, go up a size on the top and try your regular size in the bottom. I'm Tina Gill with Worthwhile Style. Thanks for watching.
