Hi, I'm Bob Holcomb from Apex Automotive in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Today we're going to talk about how the air conditioning compressor wires up to this cap. This is the cap that we use to fill the air conditioning system. A specialized machine would adept to this fitting and we would either evacuate or recharge the air conditioning system. On this particular system, our 134A, connected here is an accentuating solenoid. This solenoid allows refrigerant to flow only in one direction when it's activated. The computer activates it and is wired to here and hooked directly to the computer. This wire here is for a pressure switch. The computer wants to see a specific amount of pressure in order to actuate the AC compressor. If it does not see enough pressure, the compressor will not come on. This is how an AC compressor is wired to this cap. I'm Bob Holcomb from Apex Automotive in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
