Hi, I'm Karl Romain, Dr. Oz's Tai Chi instructor. You can also find me at Today, we'll be talking about how to use Tai Chi. Most people use Tai Chi of course, for relaxation and for improving their health. Today we're going to use Tai Chi and show you how to use it for self defense. The first technique we're going to demonstrate is what's called brush knee, push palm. So the attack here would be a forward kick, block the kick and strike with the palm. The next technique we'll demonstrate two ways is parting the horse's mane. The first way, punch comes in, block, parry and come in underneath the arm. The second coming over the arm.
