Hello, my name is Steffen Root, co-owner of Berkshire Bike and Board here in Great Barrington, Massachusetts and today we're going to be talking about downhill mountain bike games. The two downhill mountain bike games that I like to play are one is foot down and the other is bike. Foot down is basically played with two or more people all riding bicycles, generally in a corded off area that is deemed by the participants so there's an area that you have to stay within and then basically the way foot down works is you ride up near another rider and try and get them to put their foot down. So it's about maneuvering, getting in front of somebody and being able to balance on your bicycle without falling off. So the idea is to cut in front of somebody and get them to up their foot down. Depending on how you play generally when you play there is no contact with actual pushing so your hands and your feet must stay on the bicycle at all time, therefore, you're not actually pushing somebody off the bike. You have to do it with maneuvering around a person to get in front of them to block them, to get them in a situation where they can't ride out of it, therefore putting their foot down. Bike is the other game basically it's the same thing as horse, played in basketball. So you have one or two or more players playing bike and the first person picks a maneuver to do depending on where you are, whether it's a jump, whether you're playing in a yard so the first person picks a maneuver that they have to complete in full just the way they have called it. So the first player calls out I'm going to bunny hop over a log and if they clean the bunny hop where they bunny hop over the log the next person has to do it and if the next person doesn't do it they get B just like in the game horse. So then they have B and you continue playing and you go through the circle of people that are playing until there's one person left that hasn't spelled out Bike. That is just a few of the downhill mountain bike games that I like to play. My name is Steffen Root, co-owner of Berkshire Bike and Board here in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
