Hi, I'm Tina Gill with Worthwhile Style. And today, I'm going to teach you how to put together a wardrobe. So, first you need to know what you already have in your wardrobe before you can go and add things to it to create this wardrobe. So, the first thing that you're going to want to do is pull all of your clothes out of your closet, and I usually do this by season. So, spring and summer together, and fall and winter together. By getting everything out of your closet and organizing it - right here I have skirts, pants, jackets, shirts, dresses - getting everything organized so that you can see exactly what you have. And, that will give you a great start to see what gaps you have, so that you can buy things to fit back into your wardrobe. So, if you don't have a clothing rack at home, go ahead and grab two dining room chairs and a broom handle. Or, lay out all your pieces out on your bed. It's really nice to have them hanging, though. So, what I like to do when you start with a wardrobe is to start from the bottom up. And, that is with the pants then. And, to create a nice working wardrobe for yourself is, what you're going to want to do is to find some basic colors. So, we have the grays, we have black, we have brown. So, these are a nice basic pant that will go with everything else in your wardrobe. The whole goal is here, is to be able to pull a pant, pull a jacket, and grab a blouse. And, that's going to go together. Then, the next day, what you can do is, you can pull a skirt, and you can pull a jacket, and pull a top, and that's going to go together. And, that's what I call a working wardrobe. So, to start, start with the bottom, and work your way up. So, start with a basic pair of pants. So, let's just take a black pair of pants to start with. We have this here. We have a basic black jacket to go with that. And, the nice thing about a womens suit is that you can separate it, or you can wear it together as a suit. Then, what you're going to want to do is find some shirts that can go underneath it. So, we have this shirt here that has a great pop of color. It's going to break up all of this black. We have this shirt here too, that again has that black in it, but has a nice pattern to it. You can go something traditional, like this. So, that what the point is when you're building your wardrobe is to start with your basic pieces. So, a lot of people have black pants in their wardrobe, or they have a black jacket in their wardrobe. That's a great basic place to start. A lot of women have jeans that you can pair with a nice sport coat, like this. Or, like this. And again, then you find tops that are going to go underneath here. So, as you can see, there's a lot of different ways to build your wardrobe, but my suggestion is to start from the bottom up. Build your wardrobe around basic pairs of pants, and basic jackets. That way, you can add all of these fun details with different tops that you can put in. It's going to add texture, it's going to add pops of color, and it's going to go with a variety of different looks. I'm Tina Gill with Worthwhile Style. Thanks for watching!
