Hey guys, I'm Joe Campanale for eHow.com. Today, we're going to make a great apple cider recipe. It's kicked up just a little bit with some delicious bourbon whiskey. It is a perfect cocktail for these cold weather months. So, you start with apple cider. Try to use apple cider instead of apple juice. Apple cider's going to be unfiltered, it's a little darker. It's a lot richer and it has a lot more flavor. So, I have some apple cider here that's heating. And then I'm going to add to it some fresh ground nutmeg. And you can use whichever spices you like. I like to use as much as possible whole spices, and grind them fresh. Let's add a couple of cinnamon sticks. And you just let them infuse into your cider. And if you can get some whole vanilla bean, that would be great. Or if you can do just a few drops of vanilla extract. And give it a stir. But this apple cider is already beginning to smell great. It smells just like the fall, the cold weather months. You know, the great thing about it is that when you use fresh apple cider, it tends to be local, there's no added flavors, no added colors. It something that's really fresh and really, really, delicious. So, I just want to transfer it into our mug. And I like to kick up our apple cider just a little bit with some bourbon. Bourbon is really great. It has these amazing caramel and vanilla flavors. It's almost a little bit sweet. But you can totally use your favorite brandy or rum. And you want to make sure that you finish it off with the bourbon. This way you're not cooking out any of the alcohol. And you can keep all of that flavor and a little bit of extra fun for the party too. And here is just a cinnamon garnish. So, here it is, your hot apple cider. This is a great drink for tailgating, entertaining in the fall. It's something that's really delicious, nice and warm. It can warm you up from the inside on those cold months. Thanks so much for watching. I'm Joe Campanale. Tune into eHow.com for more. Cheers.
