Hi, I'm Andrae Alexander. I'm a pianist, composer, singer and songwriter in the Los Angeles area. Today, I'll be showing you how to remove vocals from a song using Mix. You're going to need to start with a digital audio work station, for example, Pro Tools, QBasic, Logic, New Windows, Studio 1, whatever it is that you use with the edit window open. It's really simple. Using these tools that we already know from previous videos, the mute, fader, we can actually remove vocals from any track or song using the Mix. So let's listen to the song before we remove them. So let's remove these background vocals as our exercise. So we're going to mute one, two, three and four. One, two, three and four which is background one, two, three and four and we're going to leave just the lead vocals. Let's listen again. Let's say you want all of the vocals out, you can just mute the lead vocal as well. Let's listen to that. And I'm Andrae Alexander, and that was how to remove vocals from a song using Mix.
