Hi I'm Kim and I'm here with you today at Blondie's Salon and Spa. I want to spend a couple of minutes talking with you about how to do a beautiful fashion makeup application for your next beach wedding. I think probably the most important thing when you're going to be outside at any sort of an outdoor venue or destination is to have just a really beautiful clean look. If it looks too heavy or if it starts getting too humid out, you're going to end up having a hard time later. We're going to work in a really beautiful foundation for her, nice light neutral palette in her eyes and give her a little bit of a punch on the lip. I'm going to start with a humidity resistant foundation and using my sponge brush I'm just going to lightly work this in, follow up with a little bit of concealer under her eye. I like to use a brush when I do my concealer and again I think a light hand is the key when you're going to be at any sort of a beach atmosphere. I'm going to set this with a little bit of the Mac Prep and Prime. This is one of my favorite setting powders, lightly dust it on. It has a beautiful finishing quality. It almost gives a little bit of that luminescence but without being too sparkly. Mac Paint Pot Painterly is one of my favorite shades. It's a beautiful light neutral. It has incredible staying power. I use this as a primer for any other eye makeup that I put on. Once you have your primer set you can go ahead and apply your eye color of choice. I'm working in a more neutral palette so that the focal point will really become her lip when we apply that punchy shade. I'm going to finish up with just a very light dusting of one of the Mac pigments just to give a little bit of that Summery glow. For a treat color I'm going to go in and apply a contour first just to bring out a little more of her cheekbones, really get them to pop and we're going to apply some bronzer, really make her feel like she's been at the beach. This is Mac lip liner. This shade is Dervish. It's a beautiful bright pinky peach and I will fill in her lips so that it will have a little extra staying power when she's out at the beach. Another shade that's a favorite of mine is Profusion from Mac. It really will give some punch. It's a great combination between a luster and a matte and again we'll just give some staying power for while she's at the beach. I always like to finish with a dab of gloss and this makes a terrific thing just to place into your beach bag. The staining that we've done with the lip color will have enough staying power for the day but if she needs to retouch the gloss always makes a great accent. So there are some beautiful shades, a great palette, gorgeous neutral skin and a great lip color for you to wear for the next beach wedding that you get to go to.
