Hi I'm Kim and I'm here with you today at Blondie's Salon and Spa. I want to talk to you about how to take curly hair and make it into beautiful sexy gorgeous waves for your next beach wedding. The first step that you want to do is maybe some night before preparation. I actually had Diedra go ahead and braid her hair and sleep on it slightly damp throughout the night. Especially when you have natural curly hair this helps to just put a little bit of control into it. The second thing that you want to do is finger those braids out with some very light styling oil. I'm using the Joico Color Therapy Oil. It gives a beautiful shine and moisture to the hair and will never weigh it down. I'm going to place the K-Pak Vapor Iron right in a couple of inches off of the root, I give it a three quarter of the way turn and then just work it through to the ends of the hair. You want to make sure that your sections are nice and smooth to begin with when you're doing your flatiron curls and that will help to ensure that the curls have a beautiful smooth look to them. Once you've got your flatiron curls placed through your curly hair I just finish this off with a little bit of hairspray. I love the K-Pak protective hairspray. It won't give any frizz to the hair or blow open the curl pattern that you've already placed in. I spray it right in my hands and use this to separate out my curl. I think it's important to use your hands like a rake because that also helps to just break down the curl pattern without actually exacerbating any type of a frizz. Finishing off with just a little bit of a final spray and that's how you can transform your curly hair into gorgeous sexy waves for your next beach wedding.
