My name is Natalie Jobity, I'm an image consultant and the author of Frumpy to Fabulous: Flaunting It, your ultimate guide to effortless style. Today, I'm going to show you how to wear orange. Orange is a great color, it's actually my favorite color. It has so much energy behind it, it's vibrant, it's alive, it's quirky, it's fun, it's eclectic, it's unique. So, you can get a lot of, a lot of attributes from wearing orange, orange around you, or wearing orange on you. So, I love it for that. Some key tips to note, not every woman looks good in orange. So, you want to know if orange works for you. Some tips, generally, redheads can wear orange. Generally, darker skin complexions can wear orange as well, and olive skin complexions. People who don't tend to look good in orange are very pale skin, dark haired women, or very pale skin, blond haired women. So, that's a general, general rule of thumb, but you want to test orange out on you. Orange goes from the light cantaloupe to the very dark burnt sienna. So, there's also variations in between, one of those may work for you. So, how do you wear orange? So, you can choose to wear orange, if it looks, you find when it looks good on you, the shade looks good on you. In a solid color, in a shirt, in a dress, or in a jacket. In this case, here's an orange shirt. You can just wear orange as a bold color, on it's own and rock orange. Another, probably more common way people wear orange, is in a print. Because in a print, it becomes more forgiving. And here I have a top that has a lot of orange in it, but also yellows and corals. So, this top is bright, it's lively, has the characteristics of orange. But it's not all orange. So, it's more forgiving, very playful vibe, love the orange in a print. Another way you can wear orange, is in a maxi, maxis are very, very popular these days. This maxi dress is orange but also has subtle patterns. So, it has a little more deeper orange tones and some pinks in here. But it's also a great way to tone this color down. If it's a little bit too much, you pair it with white or another color, another neutral on top, like with a jacket or a cardigan. A great, great look for summer. Another way you want to wear, think of wearing orange, is an accent, like this scarf. I just, you can just tie the scarf around your outfit, and you have a pop of color right there. Wearing orange as an accent, as in a scarf or a jewelry, is a great way to use the color. But not have it over you, like in a top or jacket or a dress. So, adding it as an accent like a scarf like this, is a great way to wear orange.
