I'm Donna Emery from Glover Nursery in West Jordan. We're going to talk today about growing marigolds. Marigolds are an old favorite for the garden, and they're easy to grow. They have two enemies: one is snails and the other is frost. So bait for snails when you plant marigolds, and make sure you don't put them outside until all danger of frost has passed, and be prepared for them to die with the first freezing temperature; they won't take any cold at all. They need full sun, average water, good drainage is helpful. There are many sizes and colors of marigolds, so be sure to read the label to know how tall yours is going to get. Regular fertilizing helps any blooming plant, especially an annual that needs lots of food and energy to keep blooming all summer long. I'm Donna Emery from Glover Nursery, and we've been talking about marigolds.
