Hi my name is Nancy Paterra. I'm a makeup artist in Los Angeles. What are yellow undertones in eye shadows? It's pretty simple. Yellow undertones are anything that has a golden undertone to it. For instance, I mean your basic gold. It's got that golden yellow undertone to it. In regards to browns, you can either have more of an ash undertone or a golden warm brown undertone. So when you think of yellow think gold and warm. That will make it really easy to differentiate what an ash brown is as opposed to what a golden brown is. So anything that has gold or like a warm base to it, that is considered a yellow undertone eye shadow. On our model, we have used, close, we have used a pink based gold with a yellow undertone. So you can really see it pop. You can see the gold in it with the suggestion of pink. So when you look at a color, always look for that gold or that warm undertone as opposed to a taupe, ash or gray undertone. Thank you very much.
