Hi, my name is Nancy Paterra, and I'm a makeup artist living in Los Angeles. How to wear a nude lipstick. Keep it simple. What you want to do is go with a lip tone with maybe a little more beigey pink in it. Don't go too gray or too brown because you want the lips to still have life to them. I always recommend working with a very neutral pencil something more of a pinkie beige. And then we are going to work with a very true nude lip. And then put a little bit of gloss on top to give it a little bit of life. Okay let's begin. With your lip pencil just follow the natural lip line of the mouth. You never want to do one full swoop. You want to go section by section with your pencil. Okay there's the bottom. Now the top what I like to do is work from the outside in going section by section. That way you get a nice round lip. When you go from the inside out a lot of the times it's too pointed. You want a nice natural round lip. Working from the outside in. And there you have your lip pencil. Next take your lip brush. Place a little bit of your nude lip color on it. Blend it right in to the lip pencil. And you want to make sure that the lip color is blended right into the lip pencil so you don't see that line around the mouth. You want it to be nice and natural looking. Close. And blend it right in. Then and this is not necessary but it looks really pretty on a nude mouth. Just taking a little bit, it can be a clear gloss. It can have a little bit of pigment to it. But taking just a little bit and putting a shine right in the center area. Gives a real beautiful dimension to a nude mouth. So lets review. For a nude lip preferably stick with a pinkie beige as opposed to something that's too brown. Begin with your neutral lip pencil. Follow your lip line section by section. With a lip brush blend your lip color into your lip pencil. And then if you choose to do so put a little bit of gloss right in the center of the mouth. And there we have it. Thank you.
