This is Oscar Carmona from Healing Grounds by Dynamic Nursery, located in Goleta, California. Now I want to talk to you about how to maintain shiny leaves on your indoor potted plants. Shiny leaves on plants are part and parcel to any healthy plant, and that's getting good nutrients, good watering and proper lighting and are in good potting situations. Over time, dust can accumulate on the leave surfaces in any indoor situation. The biggest problem that can occur with accumulation of dust is that it can prohibits the plant from photosynthesizing nutrients and converting those into food. And there's no need to use any harsh chemicals. Simply using water and or the addition of a little bit of dish washing can allow you to remove any grime along with the dust. I also like to add a little bit of kelp which is a naturally bio-stimulating product that also provides micro nutrients for the plant at the same time as you are washing off the leaves. And this needs to occur at least once quarterly or every three months, if not once a month. And it will allow the plant to stay healthy if it.. and also to have an attractive appearance. This is Oscar Carmona from Healing Grounds by Dynamic Nursery and I just spoke to you about how to clean the leaf surfaces of you indoor potted plants.
