on 8/5/2006 It's inevitable that careless readers will sign up for your newsletter and forget about it, then mistake it for spam the next time it comes in. Include instructions for leaving the mailing list in the body of the newsletter. That way if you get reported to the reader's ISP or your own as a spammer, the postmaster will see that your email is legitimate and it shouldn't be blocked.

on 11/22/2005 Upload a current issues and link it next to your letter's sign-up button. People may want to subscribe, but are not sure if it will be worth the email clutter & the trouble to un-subscribe if it's junk. An easy to access preview may help sway them!
