Being young and into fashion, I like to change colors. I found that a light aqua blue looks really good with strawberry blonde hair. Try to stay away from black, it makes your hair pop, but it doesn't help with the fair skin, and overall it's just - how do you say it - eew!

I'm a natural redhead, but it doesn't look like it at all. It's because I have natural blond/strawberry blond highlights in it (as a lot of redheads do). So if you are like me, you have an advantage. You can practically wear anything that a blond can wear. Except I think hot pink looks horrible on redheads, no matter what shade your hair may be. It makes your hair look just decrepit and it pulls color away from your face. So you look even more pale and dead. Make-up wise, I don't wear any foundation. All redheads have beautiful fare complexion. No need for a glob of foundation (acne problems of course you can cover up if you want). Since I have green eyes (sometimes blue, again depends what I wear) I wear a light green, almost like a dusty green, with white. It barely shows, yet it makes my eyes stick out. Use a light brown mascara and eye liner (above the eye lid, if you put it lower your eye will disappear) and your eyes will stand out just like your hair. For pretty blue eyed gals, wear a light blue. You practically wear the same color as your eyes. For lip colors, use a neutral color. never wear red lipstick. I've seen it so many times and I still cringe at the sight of it. It just looks horrible, period. You don't need blush at all if you are a redhead. If for some reason you have no color on your cheeks, slap them. And I'm literally saying slap your cheeks (don't make a hand print), but just light enough that it leaves a rose color on your cheeks and you'll be set! Now the whole "purple vs. redheads" is completely ridiculous. Yes, some redheads can't wear purple, but a lot can. I for one can wear a deep dark purple. Some auburn redheads I've seen make the color lavender look beautiful and lavender looks amazing with their skin!

My 2 brothers have darker red hair with brown eyes, and they look great in earthy brown, while I have lighter red, pale skin and blue/green/grey eyes and I just love my green, especially emerald green - I think it's looks amazing with red hair and brings out the color in my eyes. I also love grey, reds and pinks and blues(especially pale), but orange and yellow are both definite NO-NOs - they just clash horribly. The debate about whether redheads can wear purple or not doesn't concern me because I think purple is a hideous color and wouldn't go near it anyway! Lastly, black is fantastic because your red hair is the only accessory you need to wear with it (I read that in a FashionQ mag).

The colors that work for me are black, hunter green, and navy. Colors that don't work for me are pink, yellow, red, orange, and white or ivory. Stay away from pastels if at all possible!! You can't go wrong with any shade of green, including hunter green, emerald, aqua, sage or seafoam.

I have red hair with 3 different tones from dark to light. I find cream colors as well as green and light blue work well. I thought black did as well but may have think about it, allthough I seem to receive compliments when wearing black.

I have light auburn hair and green/hazel eyes. I always have found that my hair and eyes stand out best against an army fatigue green. Dark brown is also fantastic -- hair stands out against it in a way that informs the world that it is most definitely not brown.

A redhead doesn't look good in purple. Dark hair seems to be the only one that can pull off wearing purple. Unless it's a light purple, then it tends to look OK on a redhead. Pinks normally look good on a blonde, and dark reds look great on a brunette! The dark colors (navy, black) can look good on pretty much anyone, depending on what they're wearing it with. Light blues look really good on a blonde and a redhead.

I think that for me, red hair and pale skin with a magenta/purple looks amazing. I have coppery red hair and dark blue eyes, and I feel I also look amazing in black. I have always had trouble figuring out what colors I should wear, so I stick to colors that make me feel good, and I usually get wonderful compliments.

Lay your head or hair next to the color shown on the flap of the box. Then, ask two other customers which color matches your hair the best. So far, their objectiveness has helped me when I am trying to decide on the color that's closest to my own natural color.

I have dark auburn hair, dark green eyes and a pale complexion. Black and navy blue look incredible on me. My hair looks great against it and my eyes seem to sparkle more. I don't find that purple looks that wonderful on redheads. It doesn't look good on me. I see other women with different shades of red hair and they cannot carry off lavendar. I think it makes some redheads look sickly. So be careful when choosing shades of purple. I love purple, but I'd rather decorate with it than wear it.
