on 6/10/2007 I think I would rather have a mutt type breed of cat than a pure-breed. Although, there are problems with POLYDACTALS, being white, and being deaf, having 24 toes altogether, diabetic. He is a great cat, and 17 years old. According to him, he is "feline great".

on 11/22/2005 To obtain a registered and pedrigreed Abyssinian from a reputable breeder (with health certificate, papers, and written guarantees), you should expect to pay from 600 to 1000 dollars.

on 11/22/2005 My Aby/Manx is still very playful at almost 2. She loves to fetch, and will bring us a toy to start the game. She also loves water, and tries to jump in the sink or bath tub any chance she gets. We keep tub doors closed, and avoid keeping sink or buckets full of water out as a safety measure.

on 11/22/2005 This is one of the very best breeds and friendly with everyone. Be prepared to give lots of attention. Most Abyssinians love to sit on your shoulders. Finally, they will cheerfully take to a leash!

on 11/22/2005 Abys are definitely playful and sometimes just downright rotten. Expect to spend a lot of time correcting these kids in the early stages of life. Mine loves water and is always the first in the sink or at the toilet. They're a strange breed!
