on 1/18/2006 Do not hide your presents in a silly place, like under their bed or in the room they most are in. Hide them somewhere they'll never find them, like the loft or behind a cupboard. I think the best place is behind or underneath the TV. They don't go up to the TV to search for presents!

on 12/20/2005 I get the presents and put them in either a filing cabinet or the garage, or even the loft (where they cannot get a ladder and go up there).

on 12/19/2005 To make your kids even more excited about finding their presents, explain that there aren't enough of them for everyone, so whoever finds one keeps it, whoever doesn't should accept your apologies. For example, if there are 4 kids, say that there are only 3 presents (of course, you actually have enough for everyone). My parents did this when I was about 5 years old and I still remember it. It really gives kids a rush.

on 12/20/2005 I have three cars, and the way I hide presents is in the car I use less often. I then hide the car key's for precaution. The child never finds them. They think they are in the house.

on 1/13/2006 The best place to hide presents is in the parents underwear drawer, somewhere a child will never go, no matter how desperate.

on 1/13/2006 My advice, do not keep presents in your own house. Even if you wrap them, the kid(s) may be just too curious and tear the wrapping off, ruining Christmas for themselves. Keep presents in an office. If you cannot do that bring them to a trustworthy friend. You don't want your friend ruining the presents by doing something stupid with them.

Start putting smaller presents out 3-4 days before Christmas and gradually increase the number to get kids excited. When they fall asleep on Christmas eve, put the most expensive present they wanted under the tree. Always tell them the biggest gift comes from Santa!

on 11/22/2005 To hide presents, I put them in the trunk of my car. No one goes in there but me. Remember to put them under the tree on Christmas eve.

on 11/22/2005 We have a closet with a lock that you need a key to open! Be careful, though - if they get a hold of the key, you're done for!

on 11/22/2005 I'm 14 and know a LOT about where parents hide presents. My tip? Kids snoop more than you think. For the past 3- 4 years, I have discovered the presents my parents hid and then use a knife and slit under the tape. After I see what it is, I just close it back up. Hide presents at a neighbor's house.

on 11/22/2005 If you put the presents behind someplace that is damp or gets hot often, check on them often to make sure they didn't get burned or mold on them!

on 11/22/2005 This may sound odd, but often times the best place to hide kids presents is under their own beds! Yes, I do mean under the child's bed. They'll never think to look there, nor do they usually go under there to clean or anything!! As an added precaution, wrap the gifts and if they do happen to see them, say they're for a friend or relative! They'll never know this difference!! Just be sure to take them out of their room BEFORE(!) Christmas eve comes around!!!

on 11/22/2005 We hide our wrapped presents inside of suitcases that are stored in a closet. The children are used to seeing the suitcases there and don't think to look in them, and if they should, the gifts are already wrapped for an added bit of precaution.

on 11/22/2005 I have a big plastic container that I store my artificial tree in. After I put up the tree, the box is empty. Great place to now hide presents.
