on 5/29/2007 Mine also has no CODE SEARCH button. So as others have instructed, I held the SETUP button until the red indicator light on the remote remained lit. Then I pressed (but did NOT hold) the TV button (or the button for whatever device you're trying to program). The indicator light should still remain lit. I then entered one code from the list I found at Jasco's website, which corresponded to my TV set (in my case Sylvania). However, all of the instructions that I read, said that the indicator light should turn off after the last number of the three digit code was entered. This didn't happen for me. So instead, I entered a zero before the three digit code, for a total four digits. After this, the indicator light turned off. After repeating this process several times, each time with a zero in front of a different three digit code, I found one that worked. Hope this helps

on 3/2/2007 Thanks to Ehow friend for the good instructions. You have to hit "enter" immediately after getting the channel to change, or turning the TV / VCR whatever, off, or it will not work... I got a little carried away with the "channel up" button. However, I have NO CLUE what code I used? I just hit channel up, as EHow Friend suggested. Any ideas to figure out what code I used to get there?
on 3/2/2007 thanks to Ehow Friend... I have a GE Remote that doesn't have a "code" button. However, after hitting set up and getting my remote to work (finally)! I have no idea what code worked. I just kept hitting channel up and down. Is there any way I can figure out what code I used? I tried all the Sanyo codes, but none worked for me. Thx!

on 1/23/2007 To brattyashley. . . try the Funai, Sylvania and Emerson codes. Symphonic is a Funai brand. If those don't work, check for other Funai brands.
on 1/21/2007 I have the RC24912-D4640 remote and a symphonic tv...i have tried every code listed but none of them work....anybody have any suggestions?
on 6/11/2007 Would you know the code for Samsung television?
