on 11/22/2005 In the city centre, walk around St. Stephen's Green exactly 3 times. You have covered one mile. How long did it take? Or do it again and count the number of steps you take? Or find a Walkman tune that matches your mile.

on 11/22/2005 Drive your car around the block 3 or 4 times till your odometer shows and exact increase of one mile. You can usually do this and come out right back at your house. With your wristwatch, start on the exact minute and time the route you drove out.
