on 11/22/2005 Every pair of tux shoes I've rented have been blindingly shiny and less than comfortable. And it's always felt a bit like renting bowling shoes. If you can afford it, buy shoes you like and will use again.

on 11/22/2005 Remember that you'll be the one wearing the tux all night. Pick something you'll enjoy wearing, not simply what the rental staff recommends. Being happy with your appearance is always a good thing.
