on 11/22/2005 The mood has to be right as well. Have them in a dim room with a water fountain going or the sound of nature playing in the background. Add candles...It makes the massage 10 times more relaxing!

on 11/22/2005 Towards the end of the massage, you want to extract the tension, so start from the lower back and push the tension all the way up to the shoulders and out via the arms all the way past the fingers, releasing it out of the body. Repeat this 2-3 times...It works wonders.

on 11/22/2005 Sometimes hand massages are better, quicker, and easier than back massages. Just use your thumbs and rub your friend's hand in a circular motion throughout their palm. Then grab and pull each finger--but not too hard. Finally, massage the area in between his thumb and pointer finger in a circular motion. Then you charge them $10! Ha ha.

on 11/22/2005 this is one that I use to calm the kids that I work with down
STEPS:
1. gently nead the recievers shoulder mucles
2. with the palm of your hand lightly pat them on the back
3. now with a little more force pat them on the back
4. now with your whole hand pat them on the back
keep reating steps 1-4
then with only the heal of your hand pat them on the back then rub their back a few times and repeat

on 11/22/2005 After a message at least with my message recipiants it's always good to do a back warmdown so that the recipiants back will not become red from all of the rubbing and patting with differant forces for the differant stages of the message if you start the message say @6:00 message the recipiants back until say maybe oh 6:30 6:40ish do the the first back rubdown or warmdown stage then after about two seconds start the second message stage note the time and do second warmdown or rub and pat down stage do this for every stage of the message each time increasing the force and rythm of your pat on the recivers back do this for about 6 stages and then let his or her back rest for about a half an hour if the person says I don't need the final back rub\\pat down tell them yes you do only double

on 11/22/2005 1. have the reciver round his\\her back and make their stomach mucles as tight as they can.
2. if you are not shoure then just do what I call a test rub and pat and if the sound is not similar to the sound of a drum then you can do one of two things 1. you can use a little more force (harder hit on the back but not too hard REMEMBER you are trying to relax or loosen up a person's back and shoulders not trying to hurt them if suggestion 1 doesn't work then have the reciver round and tighten his or her back even mor if posible if they sya I can't tighten my back anymore than this then have someone help you hold the person in posistion or if you don't have a helper inform the person that you will have to use "full blast"for the first stage of the massage amd double full blast force the the rest of the massage

on 11/22/2005 I found the best way to relax a person is lightly running fingers up and down the back. Gets a great reaction and will keep them wanting more.

on 11/22/2005 The deeper you massage, the slower you should go. This is simple, but the opposite is not true. The lighter you massage does not mean you should massage slowly. Long and slow feather strokes work great.

on 11/22/2005 Once you start do not break contact with the massagee. If you need to apply more oil turn one hand over but keep your knuckles on his/her back.

on 11/22/2005 After applying deeper stress releaving pressure try running your finger tips very lightly across the back, this will provide an almost ticklish but pleasent sensation. Massage is about a variety of sensation.
