Return to article: How to Defog Bathroom Mirrors
on 10/6/2008 I like the shaving cream idea best so far! I used to have a can of anti fog spray, is there any commercial product available? )besides shaving cream) :-)
on 2/21/2006 To prevent bathroom mirrors from fogging in the first place, put some shaving cream on the mirror, wipe it off, and the mirror will not fog for 3-4 showers. The cheap, white, foam stuff, like Barbasol brand, seems to work best.
on 1/25/2006 After a shower, simply use any hairdryer to blow heat onto the mirror, this will eliminate the fog on the mirror.
on 1/13/2006 Do not hold the dryer too close to a mirror; if the mirror is cold the glass may crack.
on 11/22/2005 Applying or washing mirrors with shaving cream creates a thin barrier to prevent condensation.
on 11/22/2005 After cleaning your bathroom mirror with your favorite cleaner, spray a litle rubbing alcohol on the mirror and wipe it dry. This will help keep the mirror from fogging up after showering.
on 11/22/2005 Get a paper towel, put a little hair shampoo on it, and rub it over the mirror. Get another paper towel and dry the mirror off. This prevents fogging.
on 11/22/2005 Clean it with shaving cream and it will never fog up again.
on 11/22/2005 Just drape a towel over the mirror and remove it after showering. There is no fog!
on 11/22/2005 Slice a potato and rub the halves on your mirrors. Wipe it with a clean tissue. After that, do not clean the mirrors with anything else. This is good for a few weeks!
on 11/22/2005 Put a drop of liquid soap onto a cloth and rub it over the mirror. This will defog the mirror immediately and prevent it from fogging again. A small amount of shaving cream also works!
on 11/22/2005 To defog mirrors, simply smear the mirror or window with Vaseline, let it sit for 30 seconds, and wipe it off with a paper towel. Next time you take a shower, no fog will appear anywhere on the applied areas. This will last approximately 2 months.
on 11/22/2005 Get some of your shampoo, put it on your hand and wipe it on and leave it. (Do not wipe it off.)
on 11/22/2005 Rub shaving cream all over the mirror. Then wipe off with a dry cloth. The mirror should no longer fog. This may need to be repeated after a time.
on 11/22/2005 On a clean mirror, rub just a little shaving cream onto the entire mirror. This will keep it from fogging for about 4 weeks. (Be sure to rub it in well!)
