Return to article: How to Ask Someone to Be Your Girlfriend
on 11/22/2005 I know it is hard to ask out a girl, but whatever you do, just get to know her a bit and let it all hang out. But just do it before it's too late and she has given up on you or moved on and stopped waiting.
on 11/22/2005 You shouldn't be having trouble asking her out. If she says no, forget about it. Ask her why and maybe try again. But the first step is to talk to her; have a little small talk. Once you've done it, you'll know how easy it really is.
on 11/22/2005 At some point in the immediate future after asking her out, make sure she understands that she is very important to you, but your plans with others are important to you as well. Don't forget that friends are for life, and very necessary.
on 11/22/2005 Make sure that she won't hurt or destroy any of your long-term friendships, because your long-term friends are always there; she may not be. If she does come between you and a good friend it might be hard to ever rebuild that friendship.
on 11/22/2005 A disgusting idea of mine: Choose a girl who likes you and "keep" her. Just think, "Well, if she doesn't accept me, that girl will."
on 11/22/2005 First become friends with the girl, and don't rush everything just after you first meet.
on 11/22/2005 Asking someone is one of the hardest things to do. Just make sure when you do, it's in a quiet place where they won't feel pressured. If it's a very public place they might be embarrased or uncomfortable and you may not get a real answer, or a bad one.
