Where can I get some free info on how to throw darts with precision and accuracy? Did a google and was very disappointed. Would rather go gamble and hang out at my own site htp://www.gamblecan.com/default.aspx
Practice practice practice, my friend. If you have your own set of darts (highly recommended) you will eventually get accustomed to their weight and you'll know how hard or soft you will need to toss them. Everyone has his/her own technique for throwing a dart. I hold my dart vertically over the spot where I want it to go, then just float it out there, using only my elbow joint. Finally, as with any other competitive game or sport, play against someone who is better/more experienced than you. That will force you to strive to be better. And have fun!!

Split into 2 teams, chose which team goes first by throwing 1 dart at the bull, the closest wins. To start the game, the "batting" team throws each set of three darts at the board and adds up the score this is the number of "runs" they have scored. The "fielding" side then throws there 3 darts but only at the Bull and the outer bull (25) ring any darts that hit the 25 ring count as one batsman out and any that hit the bull count as 2 out. The throw continues alternately until the fielding side have got all eleven batsmen out then they become the batting side and try to beat the opponents score.

When throwing your darts, make sure not to use your wrist too much. Instead, move your arm in a smooth arching motion and release the dart. This will cause it to arch toward the target. The only way to learn to aim is to practice using the same throwing technique over and over again.

Ok, so this is a tip you can use just for fun, or even for a nice competition between friends.
First of all the name: the throwing position is double the normal range, that of 15 feet awat from the board. The normal numbering system is ignored, instead the accuracy towards bull's eye is taken into account (just like archery).
Secondly, each player must have 6 darts to throw, for a better experience of the game.
The scores are as follows: 5 points - bull's eye 3 points - outer bull 2 points - the inner segments including the 'thrice' ring 1 point - the outer segments including the 'double' ring 0 points - a miss, the wall, or anything which does not resemble a dartboard
Now its up to the players to decide, if its taking it in turns, or who gets the best score out of n rounds...
-----------
A variant of this game I called "Rounders" is that of, from the same long range, but considering only the 2-pointer segments, including outer bull and bull's eye, as valid for the game. Then the players throw out their fist 6 dart set, and remove only those out of the mentioned range, and try them out in the next round. The objective is that of getting all 6 darts in the restricted mentioned range in as less rounds as possible...

350 is the name of the dart game I made up. Lots of people can play this game at once. OK, everyone uses the same 350. To start: the closest throw to the bull's eye goes first. The object of the game is to reduce the score to exactly 0 (just like in 301 but you do not have to hit a double to get in or to get out). Say you and your friends have 17 points left, you can hit a single 17 to win, but if you hit something over it - you're out and it go's back to 17 (unless there are two people left then the last person wins).

In this game, the object is to hit the board with your darts from 20 to 1 in numerical order. There's only one player per team per game. Take turns and throw your three darts. You can't go to another number until you hit the correct number.
