on 11/22/2005 Decorate and patch at the same time. Double your patch material and cut out a pattern, such as a flower, an animal, a bird. Glue (of your choice) for stability, then sew around it for longevity.
on 11/22/2005 Cut a piece of matching screen, which you may obtain from a hardware store. Cut to a little more than the size of the hole.Using fabric glue, place on outer edges of patch. Place over hole. Mine have lasted 5 years and they do not need redoing.
