on 3/26/2007 hey, so wat if you have gone through dramatic things. Wat if you listen to the music and do all the stuff that you guys do. THEN WAT????? r we still not aloud to go punk? im not discing you guys cuz i hvae lots of punk friends, but wat if someone want's to go punk. wat if they want to and they don't want to do it becuz they think the clothes r cool or sumthin else that's stupid!!!!

I'm a 37 y.o. punk and I make DIY clothes and buy at hot topic it dosen't matter you need a foundation to start with, it is your lifestyle and your expression, even if you buy hot topic stuff and doctor it up a bit your still being you. Let's not war over how we dress and how people spell and who wears what for halloween lets just be us. If people want to be punk for halloween is that not a plus? People usually dress up like their idols or whatever. Not everyone can live out the punk lifestyle without getting a lot of crap for it from parents and society so let em do it when they can.

on 1/4/2007 I had no idea that being a 'real' punk made you illiterate too. In case you failed to notice, this e-how is called 'How to create a punk rocker COSTUME'. COSTUME. No one is trying to BE a punk, it's just a damn costume. Do wiccans call 'witches' at Halloween wannabes? No. Because they realise it is all a bit of fun. If you really can't understand that then I'm surprised you even managed to type your own ridiculous comments. Get a life. Collectively.

on 12/14/2006 to be punk its not to dress like them... its and attitude... you cant just pretend you are punk cuz you dress like them.... i dont know why people dress punk on halloween like its a costume or something... and its not funny... its unrespectfull.... when you take it like a fashion thing or a halloween costume...

on 10/24/2006 Punk can also be something you do every once in awhile. It's a uniform that represents something, just like every other type of person- like preppy or jock. I like to "be" punk every once in awhile. All I do is wear a black t-shirt with ripped jeans, doc martens, and put some Streekers http://www.streekers in my hair.

on 1/3/2007 I also think its funny that these so called punks are making such a huge deal about it. first of all; if you are so punk rock why are you even looking up how to creat a punk rock costume? yeah explain that to me...I'm not saying its bad because I have a lot of punk friends and I absolutely love going to punk shows but its halloween. people dress up its what is done. 3years ago a friend and I dressed up like "punks" and her boyfriend was punk!!! o snap what now yeah nothing its stupid.
and this year my cousin wants me to be a punkrock princess with her ((something corporate song)) and I think its cute.
o by the way; if you are a true punk you usually dont go around saying; I am a real punk.

on 10/10/2006 This is hilarios-K first yes punk is way of life and yes it makes me angry when peole say you can just dress up to be a punk but kids dressing up for halloween is kinda fun and to one of the people who thinks that are oh so kinda punk rock there is no such thing you can like punk music try and dress like one but no it doesn't make you kinda punk rock

on 7/3/2006 punk is a way of life not a costume! It's going against the grain and have your OWN way of thinking! There are punk stores and you can 'dress' punk. How would a prep feel if I went around talking about how they suck (and a lot of preps do!) and then went and dressed "prep" on Halloween? Wouldn't that make you mad? It hurts my feelings to see someone walking around going around being like i'm a punk rocker i mosh i want a mohawk and everything else then go up to there REAL friends and there like those punks are so dumb, they arn't REAlY punk, and YES this has happened in MANY occasions to me ad my friends.

Punk is about expressing your individuality and making everything you own "more your own." Be creative in what you make. You don't want to copy other people's ideas. The last tip is to do your hair. If you want to spike your hair with liberty spikes and you have long hair, use a mixture of gel, glue and gelatin (that's what I use). When it's all up, finish it with hair spray. If you want to dye your hair a bright blue or green, I suggest you peroxide your hair before you do it.
