on 3/13/2006 If you either do not want to desecrate your own garden or do not have appropriate flowers available, many Farmer's Markets and specialty stores sell edible flowers in the same area of the produce section as the fresh herbs. These are flowers that are grown with the intent to use them for edible uses, such as salads, and do not have pesticides. Herbs and leaves (e.g. mint leaves for lemon drinks) also are great for these ice cubes.
