on 7/11/2006 Apart from good hygiene and applying a good quality anti-fungal cream daily, taking garlic capsules in any form is a good safe alternative for adults and children 2 years and over. Garlic has natural anti fungal and anti parasitic qualities. This will stop the spreading of the ringworm further and will help stop reinfection. Also, anti fungal/anti bacterial washing rinses can be added to washing machine in the softener dispenser.

Ringworm can take a long time to treat and any methods used should be used for a minimum of a month to effectively eradicate them.

on 4/17/2007 We eradicated ringworm on the skin in 2 weeks by rubbing Clorox bleach on it, washing it off then applying Lamisil cream every night. I was told a little bleach in water for a foot soak gets rid of Athlete's Foot as well.

on 11/22/2005 I was told iodine spread over the affected area helps halt the continued spread of this fungus. Also Nizoral or Lamisil is a good shampoo and for African-Amer. hair, Sulfur 8 medicated hair pomade encourages regrowth.
