on 8/31/2006 Today I had a big craving for s'mores. We are re-doing our house, so the house we are temporarily in doesn't have a gas stove. We didn't have any chocolate bars, so instead I used 8 chocolate chips. I put them on the graham cracker, then I put the marshmallow on top of them and kept it open. Then I put it all in the microwave for 15 seconds, then I put the second graham on and heated another 6 seconds.... yummy!

on 11/22/2005 To have s'mores the next night camping, pack the crackers in zipper-lock bags so you can keep crackers crisp!

on 11/22/2005 The day after Halloween, my friend and I wanted s'mores and I didn't have any chocolate bars or graham crackers. We used wheat thins and miniature snickers bars that my sister got the previous night .. hey, they tasted pretty good!

on 11/22/2005 Another way to cook s'mores in the house is by placing a marshmallow in the microwave and then putting it on the graham cracker and the chocolate.

on 11/22/2005 This may sound weird but I'm allergic to chocolate!!! So instead of using chocolate I like to use peanut butter or fruit such as apples or bananas. They are really good.

on 11/22/2005 Want s'mores and don't have a grill? My kids eat them from the microwave. Put graham cracker, chocolate and marshmallow on a plate in the microwave. Heat this on high for 15 to 20 seconds. Mash second piece of graham cracker on top.

on 11/22/2005 Try using Andes choccolates (especially the mint ones!)inside your s'mores!
Have choc between crackers and squeeze the two crackers together to get marshmallow off of stick.

on 11/22/2005 One summer at the Cape, a group of us were stuck inside (rain). We discovered that a regular gas stove works great for indoor S'mores. Someone also discovered that his Zippo lighter did the job, but I wouldn't advise it!

on 11/22/2005 Add banana slices before the chocolate. The chocolate will melt and prevent the banana from slipping out. So Delicious!!

on 11/22/2005 Instead of all the ingredients you have mentioned I just buy the cookies that have one side that has chocolate, roast the marshmallow and take 2 cookies and press the marshmallow in the middle. This is easy for any age and less expensive.

on 11/22/2005 When making S'mores add a little different flavor by trying different types of chocolate. Dark, white etc.

Also, put a little peanut butter on the graham cracker before closing it up.

on 11/22/2005 Marshmallows roast well on the flame of a gas stove when it's to wet or cold to go outside.

on 11/22/2005 My kids like to use chocolate graham crackers (then you don't need chocolate bars). They put a marshmallow on the bottom graham and top with another cracker. Then they place in the microwave for 20 seconds and whammo - you have a easy S'more.

on 11/22/2005 Be sure that the wire coat hanger does not have the plastic coating on it that is becoming more common on hangers from dry cleaners.
